BestSub had the great honor to make a batch of photo slates for the Bhutan’s royal wedding last month as requested. With romantic lavender background, the slate printed shows the young couple’s photo, their name beneath and a royal lotus logo on the right top.
Bhutan’s “Dragon King,” a charming, American- and British-educated and immensely popular monarch, married his longtime girlfriend this Thursday, kicking off three days of celebration in this tiny Himalayan country.
People fill the grounds of the Punakha Dzong for the wedding celebrations for King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, 31, and Queen Jetsun Pema, 21, in Punakha, Bhutan. The Dzong is the same venue that hosted the king's historic coronation ceremony in 2008. The popular Oxford-educated king's ceremony will be followed by celebrations in the capital and countryside.
Our slates will be displayed at the wedding banquet and given to the Bhutan public as souvenir. Hope they can record the new couple’s love story and happy moments, and best wishes to them on this great journey ahead together in love!
